The most important step in cleaning the air filter system is to change the filters. We have created a separate article on this, which you can find here.

However, some other parts of the air filter system also need to be cleaned. Below you will find all the information about this, both for the Air Filter II and the Air Filter 3.

1. Cleaning all surfaces

With both variants, all dust and dirt should be regularly removed from visible parts and surfaces.

Attention: Do not use aggressive or chlorine-containing cleaning agents. We recommend the use of mild soapy water or a low concentration of commercial washing-up liquid.

2. Cleaning the inside of the Air Filter System

The inner surfaces of the air filter system should also be cleaned of dirt and dust from time to time. The lid of the Air Filter System in particular takes on a brownish or yellowish colour over time, which can be wiped away.

Attention: Do not use aggressive or chlorine-containing cleaning agents. We recommend the use of mild soapy water or a low concentration of commercial washing-up liquid.

If you have to remove the foam holder of the pre-filter from the Air Filter III, make sure that it is correctly aligned when reinserting it. The flattened corner must be at the top right and the cross strut must be against the housing wall.

3. Cleaning the exhaust air hose

If necessary, flush all dirt out of the exhaust air hose and especially the elbows.

Warning: Should the exhaust air hose become blocked, the Air Filter System can no longer extract the exhaust air, causing it to be released freely into the room. Under certain circumstances, this can lead to serious physical injury.

Attention: Allow the exhaust air hose to dry completely before the next use so that no moisture gets into the Air Filter System.
