From what I saw during a recent update, Mr. Beam's software is based on Octoprint. Normally, Octoprint is used for 3D printers. So there should be an option for controlling the height of a printing head or printing bed. Now, Mr. Beam doesn't normally need this. But from what I experienced when cutting wood such an option would be great. I consistently don't manage cutting the last1/10th of my plywood. The first layers get lasered away just great.
I think this is because the laser focus depth is just "too high" for the last layer(s).
Could there be a way of making a depth/height channel available? Of course, one will still need hardware to adjust the height of the laser head...
